Congratulations on your engagement!
Your wedding day is the most important day of your life, so you want it to be perfect. You want someone with plenty of experience who takes the importance of the occasion very seriously. I understand this, and I strive to offer you the wedding ceremony of your dreams. I will treat it with the same care I would give for my own wedding, or that of a close friend.
Here are some frequently asked questions. I hope the answers will be helpful to you in planning your wedding. If you have additional questions, feel free to contact me.
- Do you perform all kinds of ceremonies?
Yes -- spiritual, traditional, non-traditional, secular, humanistic, non-religious, elopements, as well as civil, secular, nondenominational, intercultural and Interfaith ceremonies. Perhaps you want to renew your vows or make public your commitment to each other.
- How do I book an Officiant?
To book a date is very simple.
- Email me the time, date and location of your ceremony, including the time, date and location of the rehearsal (if any).
- I will check my calendar and let you know if I or an associate is available.
- What does the fee include?
- Planning and consultation meeting
- Email and phone consultations
- A customized ceremony
- Rehearsal the day before the wedding
- The wedding ceremony.
- Travel within 50 miles of the Minister's residence
- Filing the completed Marriage License with the County Clerk's office
- Are your rates competitive?
Extremely - the average rates in IN & KY metro cities are between $250 and $800 per wedding for independent Officiants. Many churches and synagogue's clergy, as well as local judges, charge more. By specializing in a wedding ministry, I can keep my rates reasonable.
- Am I permitted to change or personalize my wedding ceremony?
Once I get your deposit, I will send you a customized copy of the Ceremony. At that time, you may let me know if there are any additions or subtractions you wish to make.
- Do you provide back-up if there is an emergency?
I have a network of colleagues who I can call on for assistance, as they occasionally call on me.
- Do you provide references?
Absolutely! I have many satisfied couples who I have married. Just ask!
- Are your back-up Officiants ordained?
Absolutely!
- Do you perform bi-lingual ceremonies?
I only speak English fluently, but I am happy to have your ceremony translated (for an extra fee) and you can ask a guest at your wedding to read the translation.
- How long have you been performing weddings and what are your qualifications?
I am an independent, ordained Minister with a Doctor of Divinity degree. I am have been officiating at weddings since 2000.
